Learning to listen to your dreams

HEART OF THE DREAM

Heart of the dream

We know that the answer to what we are looking for is not in our mind. It is in our hearts. What we have lacked is a way to access our heart in a way that has real meaning.

Other work

Most personal and spiritual growth work, most religions touch on this place but in a way that lacks a real understanding of how our psyche works. We try praying or meditating or doing yoga or whatever but we can sense that there is something more. Psychology and therapy on the other hand ignore our innate need for relationship with something beyond just trying to make our lives work.

Where to turn

As a result we are left wondering where to turn. Most of us read the latest books, try therapy, try practicing some form of personal or spiritual growth work or maybe turn to our religious roots. Doing this invariably touches us. It awakens a memory in us that there is something more. For most of us though we are unable to sustain this feeling. We know there is something more. We sense it. We feel it. But we don’t know how to really find it. It is always there and still it seems always beyond our reach.

Accessing our hearts

It feels this way because what we are looking for can not be found in our regular, conscious life. What we are looking for resides in your heart. We all know this on some level. What we have lacked is not this knowledge. What we have lacked is a way to consistently access our hearts.

A way out

Your dreams are the way out of this dilemma. They give you your own personalized way to discover the truth of who you are. This may seem appealing but the truth is that real dream work is not for the faint of heart. There is a reason that there is a lack of depth to almost all of the personal and spiritual growth work out there today. Most people don’t want to really even look at, never mind face into the things that keep them on auto pilot, keep them living the life they say they want to change.
